Kerabu Cincai

It's been a while since I last posted an entry. Ideas tu mmg byk tp may be belum rezki la tu nk buat.

MIL (maklong) made these on her birthday (Oct 10th). Ada byk lagi lah but I particularly like this one. Biasa nk buat kerabu ni ada yg kata kene ada sos khas, ada lg plak sos dr Thailand. Bila pula nk ke Thailand / nk pesan kat sape lak ye.

This was how the kerabu looked like. Very easy to make yet delicious I tell you.

RESIPI KERABU CINCAI

1. Mangga muda diracik

2. Cili besar kalau x nk terlampau pedas / cili padi kalau suka pedas berapi dihiris halus

3. Bawang merah dihiris halus

4. Sotong kering bergula dipotong kecil2

5. Optional - Sedikit Air udang yg direbus

Cara-cara:

Coolnya Jadi Staff TM

I joined TM aerobic class since early 2006 which very much explain the slim figure I currently enjoy. Yea... kepoyoan berganda. Just wait 5 or 6 years from now ye tak? Tskkkk...

But really, my health did improve since then.
It helped solved my constipation as well as overactive bladder (my dormmates back in Segamat esp. Mary & K. Dja & housemate in Shah Alam i.e. Sarah adalah amat arif tentang kedua-dua permasalahan ini). Even my bf back then pon tau.. thanx for sticking with me & marrying me as well. Adakah org break up disebabkan masalah ni? :D

Oklah... merapu...

Kawan seaero... Mar (the one who's standing). Nampak kaki shj... Itu je yg halal dilihat ... :-)

The aero class is fully sponsored by TM during lunch time. Saaaayang TM.

Dandruff & Turning Bald?

Think that you have a chronic dandruff problem to the extent that it snows right under your collar?

We went to this very well known haircare centre which promised free consultation, free hair scanning & free herbal treatment for first trial.

The consultant told that other half has 3 strands of hair per pore due to his genetic. Some people have 5. We tried to scan mine ourselves to see how many strands I've got but couldn't get anything out of it but looking at the thickness, I believe I have 5. It would be nice if we remembered to snap on the scan result. :(

If you want to know more, go register yourself.. ;) I tell you, it's interesting to hear all the hair analysis theory if you can bear the 3 hours of ear bashing! + the upclose image of your hair & scalp of course.

To make the story short, the consultant insisted that other half had got very chronic dryness and dandruff problem and is turning BALD bla bla... & we had to sign up to the service. Ok, being such a cheap skate we estimated that we would take it up if the package priced around RM300.

Jeng Jeng Jeng.... the package presented to us was RM6k++ and it was reduced to RM3k++ then RM2k++, RM1k++ and lastly RM600++ for only buying 1 set of their products. OUCH!!! Bern told other half about the price but we naively held our hope that for us it couldn't reach that much.

We didn't doubt the effectiveness of their product. But for people like us, we thought it's very very very very very very very much overpriced to treat one's dandruff problem. I also do not like the fact that they would happily accept credit card and told us that we can pay it off using zero interest installment i.e. about RM200-RM300 per month for 2 years!!. Further they told that if we can easily spend RM100 going to the mall why not ONLY RM200/RM300 per month for our own hair?

Persuasion ALMOST working but not quite... (might totally worked if we went there alone). Try the guilty game. "Haiyaa.. you want to see your partner go bald mah?" or the hidden meaning "You so kedekut you prefer your partner go bald than spend money". That's it. Pushed us too far... it then became a definate No-No.

As for the conclusion we thought we would try the traditional method. Massage Coconut oil (cooked the santan until it produces oil and add whatever that can make it smells nice) + lemon juice / lime juice to the scalp before shampoo. Hopefully we can be persistant.. Tssskkkk Poyo.

After using Nizoral for a few years, it is no longer as effective as it used to be... I'm thinking of trying the 'baby shampoo'.

MIL also suggested fish oil as supplement.

So... will try these 3 methods.

Pindah - Al-Fatihah

Tok Ayah (Abah punya abah) had just passed away peacefully in Abah's car on his way home. He had been discharged from the ward and was allowed to go home. I never consider that he's gone forever. Dia cuma berpindah ke alam yang lain di mana ia adalah musibah yang sangat berat sekiranya orang yang berpindah itu bukanlah dari kalangan orang yang beriman.

Tarikh lahir: 11 December, 1930

Kembali ke rahmatullah: 9.00 p.m. (approximate) 23rd July 2009 / 1 Syaaban 1430H

This world is like an 'examination hall' as one of my friends puts it.

Jalil bin Abdullah.

There are lots of things which had been going on in my mind since his passing. Things that make oneself wonder about our preparation for the afterlife.

I hope I'll get around to updating more about the history of the family. Insyaallah, the pictures of my grandparents... my parents' wedding, etc.

Newly weds project

Started this project before we get married. It took me approximately 6 months to complete... in an 'on and off' basis.

The finishing stitch was done in Penang when we were visiting Tok Ayah. We are no longer newly weds, ARE WE?!

Went to The Curve a few weeks ago and found wall stickers being sold at one of the stalls. I think it's a great wall deco especially for those with the budget size of a pinhole (no offense... but ME am the person) ... 1 set at the cost of RM49. Compare this to the wall paper.

There are a few more designs which are much more bigger of course but I assure you it won't cost you more than RM80 per set. Great rite..

I couldn't wait to stick them on the wall but not really confident with my 'stiff hands'. So have to wait for my kesayangan 'Pakcik' whom I know, are always neat and tidy about his work.

I like this grown up version of stickers. :) Hope it doesn't look too Indianlike...

For one more day

I used to love reading love stories. Perhaps it was due to lack of romance in my life. Although I still read them, it no longer sent shivers through my spine like it used to. (chehh chehhh)

I borrowed this book from Mar, my officemate. I'm always borrowing from her. Teee heee..

It tells about near death experience. About the relationship betweens parents and child, about a parent's constant sacrifice and always forgiving and loving her child no matter what. About one's regret, about taking people for granted, etc.

The book not only tell about a story but touches our deep emotional foundation.

Meeting Henry

Chaperoned by beloved half, I went to meet Henry and sister at Subang Parade, Saturday May 11th 2009, 12.30 p.m.

Henry from Penang was my pen friend since we were form 3. Nerdy as we were, we exchange exam papers and Henry taught me a little bit of physics, the subject I was so poor at.
That day was the first time we met each other. They are very friendly and nice persons, Henry and sister. And I am so lucky that my half not only let me meet them but he had also been there with me despite having to work that Saturday.

Unfortunately it didn't occur to me to take our picture together.

So we had our 'nasi lemak' lunch at Uncle Lim's on Henry's. My half had 'asam laksa'. Thanx friend... The food are nice but the best menu is 'nasi lemak' I think. We also had some roti bakar which according to Henry's sister is also one of the must.

Afterwards, we went our separate ways. Henry & sister to MPH. My half & I to window shopping. Subang Parade is a nice place for 'jalan2'. It was neither too crowded and nor too empty.
Ciaooo...
