Pindah - Al-Fatihah

Tok Ayah (Abah punya abah) had just passed away peacefully in Abah's car on his way home. He had been discharged from the ward and was allowed to go home. I never consider that he's gone forever. Dia cuma berpindah ke alam yang lain di mana ia adalah musibah yang sangat berat sekiranya orang yang berpindah itu bukanlah dari kalangan orang yang beriman.

Tarikh lahir: 11 December, 1930

Kembali ke rahmatullah: 9.00 p.m. (approximate) 23rd July 2009 / 1 Syaaban 1430H

This world is like an 'examination hall' as one of my friends puts it.

Jalil bin Abdullah.

There are lots of things which had been going on in my mind since his passing. Things that make oneself wonder about our preparation for the afterlife.

I hope I'll get around to updating more about the history of the family. Insyaallah, the pictures of my grandparents... my parents' wedding, etc.

Newly weds project

Started this project before we get married. It took me approximately 6 months to complete... in an 'on and off' basis.

The finishing stitch was done in Penang when we were visiting Tok Ayah. We are no longer newly weds, ARE WE?!

Went to The Curve a few weeks ago and found wall stickers being sold at one of the stalls. I think it's a great wall deco especially for those with the budget size of a pinhole (no offense... but ME am the person) ... 1 set at the cost of RM49. Compare this to the wall paper.

There are a few more designs which are much more bigger of course but I assure you it won't cost you more than RM80 per set. Great rite..

I couldn't wait to stick them on the wall but not really confident with my 'stiff hands'. So have to wait for my kesayangan 'Pakcik' whom I know, are always neat and tidy about his work.

I like this grown up version of stickers. :) Hope it doesn't look too Indianlike...

For one more day

I used to love reading love stories. Perhaps it was due to lack of romance in my life. Although I still read them, it no longer sent shivers through my spine like it used to. (chehh chehhh)

I borrowed this book from Mar, my officemate. I'm always borrowing from her. Teee heee..

It tells about near death experience. About the relationship betweens parents and child, about a parent's constant sacrifice and always forgiving and loving her child no matter what. About one's regret, about taking people for granted, etc.

The book not only tell about a story but touches our deep emotional foundation.

Meeting Henry

Chaperoned by beloved half, I went to meet Henry and sister at Subang Parade, Saturday May 11th 2009, 12.30 p.m.

Henry from Penang was my pen friend since we were form 3. Nerdy as we were, we exchange exam papers and Henry taught me a little bit of physics, the subject I was so poor at.
That day was the first time we met each other. They are very friendly and nice persons, Henry and sister. And I am so lucky that my half not only let me meet them but he had also been there with me despite having to work that Saturday.

Unfortunately it didn't occur to me to take our picture together.

So we had our 'nasi lemak' lunch at Uncle Lim's on Henry's. My half had 'asam laksa'. Thanx friend... The food are nice but the best menu is 'nasi lemak' I think. We also had some roti bakar which according to Henry's sister is also one of the must.

Afterwards, we went our separate ways. Henry & sister to MPH. My half & I to window shopping. Subang Parade is a nice place for 'jalan2'. It was neither too crowded and nor too empty.
Ciaooo...
